The first of the 3 Ford Verve Concepts annouced at the Septmeber 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show |
Ford Verve 3 Door Concept
(First Concept)
The first of the 3 concepts, the 3 door Ford Verve was annouced in August 2007 and officially unveiled at the September 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany. It received a warm reception by the motoring press and was praised for its unique, modern styling.
The new Ford Fiesta?
In Europe the 3 door Verve is seen as the successor to the Fiesta, Ford's highly successful compact car, which is due for a replacement model in late 2008 or early 2009. It is currently not sure whether the Verve name will replace the Fiesta name.
There have already been some spyshots leaked of the new Fiesta and it looks as though Ford have stayed true to a lot of the styling and features unveiled in the original concept shown at 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show.

(Second Concept)
The second concept was unveiled at the November 2007 Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition in China. It uses a lot of styling of the first 3 door Verve concept but uses some inspiration from the latest Ford Mondeo.
There are rumours that the 4 door version of the Ford Verve will be launched in China during the second half of 2008. There is no news yet as to whether Ford plan to make it available elsewhere.
